Dental fillings in Strašnice
The standard treatment for dental caries in the 21st century is a photocomposite filling.
Due to the demanding material requirements as well as the time involved, this type of filling is not covered by health insurance. The patient pays for the treatment privately; however, the investment is well worth it.
A high-quality photocomposite filling has a more favorable effect on the condition of the tooth than amalgam, which tends to worsen the tooth’s prognosis by acting like a wedge.
The treatment is performed under local anesthesia, so you do not need to worry about pain.
First, all decayed tissue must be removed from the tooth. Next, a dry working field must be ensured. An adhesive is then applied, allowing chemical bonding to the tooth (rather than mechanical retention as with amalgam), followed by layering of the white filling material, which is shaped to match the natural anatomy of the tooth. During placement, the filling is cured with UV light, so once the procedure is completed, there are no restrictions—you can eat and drink immediately.
However, the filling does not automatically adapt to your bite. If it feels uncomfortable when biting and you do not get used to it within three days, the filling will need to be adjusted and polished by the dentist.

I have to share my positive experience from today. I’m 20 years old and hadn’t been to the dentist since I was 14 at least—out of fear. I was always prone to cavities, and every dental visit meant some kind of procedure: twice I had teeth extracted, and anesthesia never worked well enough for it not to hurt. So naturally, I was extremely scared of today’s cavity treatment. Completely unnecessarily! The dentist worked very gently, waited until the anesthesia took full effect, and then started. The entire procedure, without waiting for the anesthesia to kick in, took about 15 minutes. I felt nothing—and if the dentist had pulled the tooth out, I wouldn’t have noticed! I have never left a dental office so happy; I’m writing this review half an hour after the procedure. Now I’m just amused by my numb mouth and absolutely thrilled with such a pleasant dental experience. Thank you so much 🙂
We come here regularly, and it’s the best dental hygiene clinic we’ve ever visited. Even though it’s quite a detour for us, it’s absolutely worth the trip. The dental hygienist is amazing. Thank you for the excellent care. Při akutních problémech jsou brzké termíny a mají vyřešené i zástupy s paní zubařkou z ordinace naproti.
Jako bonus hezké prostředí a milá paní recepční, která na zmeškané hovory volá zpět, to také nebývá samozřejmostí.
